Analyses
In order to be able to change or improve stock management and logistics at a company, you have to be able to measure results. You have to be able to measure the current situation and then check that implemented measures produce the desired effect. Unfortunately, it is not always possible to measure exactly what you want in the business system, which is why we have developed functions that enable you to measure various parameters affecting a company’s goods in stock and logistics.
These measurements can be performed manually in the form of consultancy services, where the results are presented as a report, or we can install software that allows you to view the results you need whenever you need them.
Even though our measurements are performed by means of consultancy services, we still use our analysis software, as this makes it very easy to repeat a measurement if you want to perform the same follow-up regularly, e.g. every six months.
Our software application AntVision Pro enables you to follow up on customer service to ensure that delivery reliability is up to standard. You can also continuously follow up on the service provided by suppliers, which ensures an efficient supply of materials by providing a good foundation for negotiations and follow-ups with suppliers. Obviously, you can also follow up on the delivery service provided by production, as well as stock levels, price trends, contribution ratios, sales statistics, and so on.
Management
In many instances, the stock management function of business systems is insufficient. This is particularly true of seldom-requested items, such as spare parts, but also in some cases, more common ranges of items. That is why we have developed management models suitable for the whole range of items that allow greater control over customer service and stock levels than many traditional management models. Often, this encourages better service despite the stock level being kept low. We work a lot with simulations and can therefore demonstrate what effects different management models will have at each individual company before the new models are introduced.
We always begin with a study to determine the potential for improving management at a company. If we can identify specific changes that improve service or reduce the amount of stock, we will suggest a suitable method for improved stock management. This can be anything from regular manual follow-ups to installation of software that automatically updates the business system’s management parameters.
Replenishment
Some stock management processes make it impossible to use any of the business system’s functions. This may happen, for instance, when the supplier is responsible for replenishing the customer’s stock (VMI) or if you need to manage several different products together in product families. It can also be difficult to use the business system when customers’ needs change rapidly and very quick decisions are required. We have developed effective methods for managing stock replenishment in those cases where the business system does not have the necessary flexibility.
